I'm Director of Volunteer Equipping at our church, and I'm collecting ministry job descriptions for all (over 100) the tasks done by volunteers on our church. I'm linking each one to the name of the ministry on a list on our website. (https://stpeterah.ctsmemberconnect.net/webpage-info.do?webPageId=313843&view=3&grpId=27720)

The process of uploading and creating links is very laborious and I'm wondering if I'm missing a shortcut. I sure hope so! Right now I am uploading each document, one at a time. To create the links, I first go to the Documents list, and click on the "i" button for one document, and copy the URL for that document. I then close the document page, and open the website page for editing, highlight the text that will become the link, click on the link icon, and paste the URL. Then I close the website page I was editing, and go back to the document page.

Is there any other way to do this other than one link at a time. It will take me quite a while to do 100 of them at this rate!

Thanks.

Hi Karen,

Unfortunately there is not a way to do multiple documents at a time. You are loading them correctly and creating the hyperlink correctly. The suggestion I would have to possibly save a little time is to copy all your links from the documents page into NotePad or Word, then go to your other page to create the hyperlinks. This will eliminate having to switch back and forth between the pages and should reduce the time spend on this task.

Thanks, Jenny. At least I know I'm not missing something obvious.

Great minds run on the same track. I thought of the same shortcut of copying into Word after I had done a few more links. I've used a number of other website content management systems and in most, once you click on the 'create a link' icon, offer a choice to 'link to a document' and then list all the documents stored on the site. You simply click on the document you want to link to. Please suggest something like this as an enhancement. Thanks.

No problem Karen. I went ahead and submitted that suggestion.
