|
|
A few questions regarding service and feature packs:
1. Are service and feature packs tied to only certain versions of SS? For example, I have SS 2005 (version 7.5), are all of the service packs listed on the "Service Packs and Downloads" web page meant for my version or just certain ones?
2. If all of the service packs are meant for my version of SS do I need to load them in oldest to newest version or I can I simoly download the latest and it will have evertyhing from the earlier versions?
3. If only certain ones are meant for my version how to do I know which ones they are?
4. Do I need to install a service pack if I am not having any issues with SS?
Thank you,

Greetings Thank you for contacting Concordia Technology Solutions,
You asked the following question: Are service and feature packs tied to only certain versions of SS? For example, I have SS 2005 (version 7.5), are all of the service packs listed on the "Service Packs and Downloads" web page meant for my version or just certain ones? The service packs are tied to a specific software version. If you are using version 7.5 you should only download and install the "2007 Feature pack 2B". You will be able to download the service your looking from this link. http://www.shepherdsstaff.org/SupplementalFiles/SP/v75fp2b.zip. It is not necessary to download any other service packs and installing the service pack is not required. We do suggest downloading and installing the latest service pack for your version of the software to ensure that you are as up- to- date as possible.
Sincerely,
