We have missing contribution batches and deposits.
The missing batches show up when we do a reprint of the batch offering posting summary. So I know the batches were there and were posted at one time.
However, when I do a Deposit Register Report they are missing. And when I do a List of Deposits Report they are missing.
In the General Ledger Report they are also missing.
QUESTIONS:
Can I recover the missing batches somehow and get them posted correctly to the finance module?
Or can I just make journal entries for them and if so, will it throw anything else off (unintended consequences)?
Or can/should I go back to a backup copy of the database before the missing contribution batches, and RESTORE the whole database or RESTORE FINANCE ONLY?
If I go back to a date before the missing batches and do a restore of the whole database, then I lose everything in every module already input from that data forward, correct?
If I go back to a date before the missing batches and do a restore of FINANCE ONLY, it seems like I would delete all the accurately posted batches from the Contributions Module without anyway to post them, correct?
Or do I need to call the SUPPORT DESK to get the technical solution? |

Hi lwlc,
Chances are, when the contribution batches were posted, they weren't posted to Finance. To add this amount that is not in Finance, simply add a Deposit in your Deposit Register. _________________ Kristina Rodgers

Thanks Kristina -
That seems to do it and makes the deposit totals work out on the Depost Report, but I don't under stand how the batches could be posted without being posted to Finance. Where did they go?
Again, thanks for your help! |

In Contributions, you have the functionality to select whether or not you want to post your Contribution offerings to Attendance and/or Finance. If these options are not selected, they will only post to Contributions. _________________ Kristina Rodgers
