|
|
I have a recurring event set up in the MemberConnect calendar - for which the end date is set for the end of 2012. I now need to end this series. However, when I change the end date, it warns that it will re-generate the series and delete all exceptions. The problem is that I have had to reschedule this monthly meeting a few times and I really don't want to lose those exceptions.
Is there any way of simply ending a series - or canceling all future events in a series - without losing the modifications or exceptions for past events?
Thanks! _________________ Pastor Mitch Phillips

| Yes, when you get that warning, you can go ahead and continue. It is going to change your future events not any past events. So, as long as your exceptions are before now, you should be fine. If you have any further questions, please feel free to give us a call at 800-346-6120. Thanks. |

I just tried to do this and it did not work as you described. I had a monthly meeting on the second Thursday that needed to be adjusted for going foward. It had a recurring end date way in the future. I changed the end date to the end of April. I got the usual warning about regenerating the series and losing any exceptions. I did as you suggested and went ahead and cliked OK. The April meeting that I had moved to the 12th (a Monday) no longer existed and there was one now back on the 8th which had been previously moved to the 12th. _________________ Pastor Mitch Phillips

Hi MDPhillips,
To further assist you on this issue, we need to troubleshoot with you on the phone. The steps given to you should have worked, however, since they did not, please call us at 1-800-346-6120. _________________ Kristina Rodgers
