|
|
I don't know if this may have happened as a result of your migrating to a new server last night, but when I go to add new members to a group, the list of all members on the left is not in alpha order as it was yesterday. I can filter down to a certain letter and those come up in alpha order, but the main list is not in any order that I can decipher.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

I'm not sure if this was from the server changeover or not, but I've alerted our MC developer programmer to this issue. I will attempt to post an update when I've heard back from him on this issue (that may not be for 24 hours or so).
I can confirm that the default order is currently not alphabetical when displaying all people in a selection list. |

| Just to update here, I can confirm that this is an issue that our MemberConnect developer is working to address. I will continue to post updates to this topic for those tracking this issue. Currently, the developer is still working on a resolution. |

As of Noon Central Time, on February 4, 2010,
I can report that this issue has been resolved by our MemberConnect developer. Names should be back to listing in alphabetical (A-Z) order, by last name.
For those who are curious, this issue was related to the updates made to the MemberConnect servers this past weekend, our developer had to redesignate/reorder the sorts for those screens.
Again, it is back to a normal sorting.
Thanks again for your patience as we resolved this issue. |

I haven't added any members to families for a month or so. I find that when I select family they aren't in alpha order and I have to hunt throught the whole list. Any suggestions?

I'm not quite sure from your description what screen or MC page you are viewing on your site. If you are going to the Members or Family page of your site (by click on a button under the main menu), check the controls at the top of those pages: it should be set to Sort on Members or Family, and the sort order should be set to Asc. Note: if you make a change to these settings, you will have to click on OK to reload the page with the new sort options.
If this is where the names are not in a "normal" order, it is likely that those controls at tht top are set to a different setting. |

Here is what I am doing.
I click on--
Administration
Add a new member to an existing family
Member screen comes up
It asks to select a family
When I click on select a family all the families in my database are not alpha. I see no where to select sort.

Sharon,
You're correct, in that specific case, there is not a default sort (the names will typically appear in the order that they were added to the site). Am submitting a suggestion that this sort be made alphabetical in a future release of MC. |
